From a small repair shop to one of the largest companies, New Holland is dominating the agricultural and construction equipment market for years. The marble-cutting New Holland backhoe is not a product by this company only, but it was developed as a mutual product by New Holland and Benetti Macchine. This backhoe is specifically designed to meet the requirements of the marble quarry industry. In fact, this backhoe is a combination of New Holland backhoe B100C and Benetti CST 965 chain cutter. This machine is expected to significantly improve the safety and efficiency at marble quarries.
To develop this machine, both companies followed the needs of their customers, which hopefully know better than anyone what types of machines they need to improve their businesses. The main idea to combine a New Holland backhoe loader with a cutting equipment is that the quarry industry was missing a machine able to operate independently and cut marble blocks directly on-site. The two companies have successfully accomplished their mutual expectation and take pride for their product. The prototype of this machine was used on heavy testing in marble quarries in Italy for several months.
As an alternative to the known conventional diamond wire cutting machine, the companies have included the New Holland backhoe with a chain. The diamond wire cutting machine is not able to operate independently, as it requires to be attached on heavy-duty tracks and run next to the blocks about to be cut. The New Holland backhoe, on the other hand, is able to align itself with the blocks independently, without requiring tracks. The developers of this machine believe that this configuration will lead to improved safety and improved productivity.
